Housing Crisis Center

The mission of the Housing Crisis Center is to prevent homelessness and to stabilize those at risk in decent, affordable, and permanent housing, and to empower them to solve their own housing problems in the future.

Every family, every child, every citizen of our community should have a place to call home. Housing Crisis Center has been preventing homelessness for almost 40 years. Many of our clients are veterans with crippling mental disorders such as PTSD. They typically are unable to live on their own, but with supportive services they can remain safely housed with dignity.

Others are families with children who have recently become homeless due to domestic violence, unforeseen expenses, or lacking financial knowledge. Through financial assistance, support services, and individualized coaching families are able to overcome the obstacles that contributed to their homelessness and remain permanently housed.

Services include:

  • Housing for Homeless Individuals and Families
  • Income Supports
  • Employment and Career Services
  • Financial Coaching and Education
  • Individualized Life Coaching
  • Tenant Rights Workshop
